Gear Warrior character art

Gear Warrior

The gear around the instrument — who makes it, who sells it, and what to buy. Under construction; here is what it will be.

Gear Warrior will be the Warrior Network's reference for the industry behind the instrument: who makes it, who sells it, who runs the trade shows, and what a player should actually buy. Nothing here is published yet without a source and a date attached.

One Registry, Three Namespaces

Every company this site tracks is one of three kinds, in one shared registry — so a maker's page can list the retailers who carry it, and a retailer's page can list the makers it represents, with nothing hand-duplicated.

Vendors

The makers — manufacturers, independent builders, and distributors. Who actually builds a thing, who rebadges someone else's, and who owns whom.

Retailers

The resellers — national chains, online-only stores, independents, and marketplaces. What they carry, where they ship, and their return policy.

Organizations

The industry — trade associations, conventions, standards bodies. Who runs the trade shows, and which vendors belong to what.

What's Coming

Product sections build on top of that registry, starting with the categories this site sells into first. Strings is the first one live — a solver that takes your instrument, tuning, and scale length and finds a balanced set, plus a custom tension builder and reference pages on materials and gauges. Pedals, amps, and the rest of what goes in a gig bag come next; this page will keep saying plainly what exists and what is still the plan.

What's Here Right Now

This one, an honest About, the network map, an FAQ, a working search over everything published so far, and the policy pages every site in the network carries — advertising disclosure, corrections, privacy, and accessibility. The registry is under way too: vendors, retailers and organizations each carry their first sourced records, and Strings is the first product section built on top of it.

Quick Questions

More on the full FAQ page.

Is this site open yet?
No. This is a pre-launch shell — the domain is not indexed. The registry and the Strings section described above are real, working pages you can click into; pedals, amps and the rest of the plan are not built yet.
Will this take over the hub's gear pages?
No. String Warrior keeps its per-instrument anatomy pages and its beginner buying guides. This site asks a company-level question instead: what a vendor makes, who sells it, and who runs the trade shows behind it.
Will there be referral links?
Eventually, disclosed on the page that carries them. None are bound yet — see the disclosure page for the policy this site commits to before any partner is added.
Is any of this paid?
No. Every page on Gear Warrior is free, with no account and no paywall.
