Frequently Asked Questions

What this site is, what it is not yet, and how it plans to earn the word "exhaustive."

Questions, Answered

Is Gear Warrior open to the public?
Not yet. This is a pre-launch scaffold: the domain carries a blanket noindex, and the vendor, retailer, and organization records described on the About and home pages do not exist on this site yet.
Does this replace String Warrior's gear pages?
No. String Warrior keeps its per-instrument anatomy pages, its beginner buying guides, and its per-string tension calculator. This site is additive: it answers a company-level question — what to buy, who makes it, who sells it — that the hub does not.
What does "exhaustive" mean here, if the site is this small right now?
It is a target for the categories this site sells into first — strings and pedals, the retailers that carry them, the organizations those vendors belong to — not a claim this v1 shell makes about itself. Breadth follows the catalog as records clear a sourcing floor, not the other way around.
Will there be reviews?
Only ones backed by first-hand evidence. This network's policy refuses spec-rehash review prose with no evidence behind it; a worked example (a priced, argued "rig") is planned only alongside the evidence engine that would make it honest.
How will facts be sourced?
Every fact this site eventually publishes is meant to carry a source, a publisher, and a retrieval date, shown on the page itself. A fact nobody could verify is marked unverified with its research date, or left off the page — never silently promoted to a stated fact.
How do I report something wrong?
Use the corrections page. A received correction becomes a task in the review queue rather than a comment nobody reads.
