Accessibility

What this site does to stay usable for everyone, and where to write when it falls short.

Gear Warrior is built from semantic HTML first: real headings in order, real lists, real links, and landmark regions a screen reader can navigate by. There is no diagram, chart, or canvas of any kind in v1, so there is nothing here that depends on colour alone or on a pointer to operate.

Keyboard operation

Every control on this site — the navigation menu, the theme picker, the search box — is reachable and operable from the keyboard alone, using native HTML elements (<details>, <button>, <select>) rather than custom widgets that have to reimplement keyboard behaviour. A visible skip link jumps past the header to the main content on every page.

Colour and contrast

Every theme this site ships is checked for text contrast against its own background, in both the light and dark variant, and status is never conveyed by colour alone.

Structure

Every page has exactly one <h1>, a logical heading order underneath it, and a page title that describes the page rather than repeating the site name alone. Breadcrumbs on interior pages give a second, always-visible way to see where you are.

Reporting a problem

If something on this site does not work with your assistive technology, that is a bug — report it with the page URL and what happened, and it goes into the same review queue as any other correction.
