Gear Warrior is the Warrior Network's site for the industry around an instrument rather than the instrument itself: who makes it, who sells it, who runs the trade shows and standards bodies, and what a player should actually buy. It is pre-launch — the domain is not indexed yet, and this page describes what the site will be, not what it fully is today.
The boundary this site keeps
Nothing here republishes what a sister site already owns. String Warrior keeps its per-instrument anatomy pages, its referral-free beginner buying guides, its per-string tension calculator, and its gear-finder tool; every satellite keeps its chords, scales, and tunings. This site asks the question none of them ask: at product and company level, what should I buy, what does it actually do, who makes it, who sells it, and how do I set it up.
One registry, three namespaces
Every company this site will track — vendor, retailer, or organization — lives in one shared registry with a kind attached, rather than three separate lists that could drift apart. A vendor's page will list the retailers that carry it; a retailer's page will list the vendors it represents; an organization's page will list its member vendors. All of that is derived from one set of records, none of it hand-duplicated. The part of that registry worth building first is the ownership map — who actually owns whom in music gear is badly documented, and a player choosing between two apparently different brands often cannot tell they come out of the same factory.
The sourcing promise
Every fact this site eventually publishes will carry a source, a publisher, and the date it was checked, shown on the page rather than only kept in a database somewhere. A fact nobody could verify will be shown as unverified with its research date, or left off the page entirely — never quietly promoted to a fact because it would be convenient. Found something wrong once records exist? Report a correction and it becomes a task in the review queue, not a comment nobody reads.
Part of the Warrior Network
Gear Warrior is one of the sites sharing a design system and a daily pick. The others cover an instrument, a genre, or the theory underneath music; this one covers the gear. The network's hub, String Warrior, already covers per-instrument anatomy and buying guides at stringwarrior.com/gear — read there today for that.
